After their 2017 debut "Dawn O A Crimson Empire" ("Strong melodic Black Metal" - Powermetal.de; "A cool, melancholic and emotional atmosphere that touches." - Rock Hard) and "The Infernal Path Into Oblivion" ("It's remarkable in what a short time the Germans have played their way to the top in Black Metal." - Metal.de) now follows the next strike from the Hessians. With Berith – known from the paganists Timor Et Tremor - they have a new expressive vocalist in the line-up.
SERMONS OF THE BLACK FLAME is once again pure Black Metal, committed to the traditions of the Scandinavian school - but even more varied and epic than its two predecessors. Drummer Tempestas comments in an interview with Undergrounded.de: "We don't want to write songs that go down easily and that you get tired of after three listens. For us, the artistic aspect and the philosophy behind it are very important."
Eight new compositions - multifaceted, (not too) melodic, full of passion and atmospheric depth; after the great "Into The Fires Of The Black Flame", one is reluctant to return to the disillusioning reality of the present.

The first 30 seconds of "Revenge by Fire" convinced me to get the whole album! It is a face-melting blend of speed and black metal, reminiscent of Hellripper! KVAEN is a Swedish solo project much like Hellripper but many known guest musicians helped J. Björnfot in his endeavor. Altogether it is really a solid debut album, I loved the melodies and the pace changes in the second half too, ending with a "calm" instrumental one. Well-done!! sachavonkarl74

Gaerea's first release of "Unsettling Whispers" was in 2018, and since, they dared define a "black metal" niche of their own, they dared to walk a new path and stir shit up a bit in the realm of BM, this album is a masterpiece and a milestone proving that it can be done, provided the band can pull it off, and they did, oh they did!
